KCI’s vacuum assisted closure system (V.A.C. Therapy System) creates an environment that promotes wound healing in chronic, acute, traumatic, sub acute and dehisced wounds, partial thickness burns, ulcers (diabetic or pressure), flaps and grafts. It prepares the wound bed for closure by reducing edema, promoting granulation tissue formation and vascular perfusion, and by removing exudate and infectious material.
