Go inside the GI Tract with Salix VR Tour

XVIVO’s New VR experience made a splash at the Digestive Disease Week 2017

XVIVO worked with Salix Pharmaceuticals on a unique 360 degree virtual reality experience that gives doctors a way to explore the workings of the digestive system and the causes of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Unveiled at Digestive Disease Week (DDW 2017), the new VR tool was one of the meeting’s highlights and was covered by a few trade magazines and online publications. The new tool can help primary care physicians to diagnose difficult IBS cases.

An educational tool for IBS, a condition that is difficult to diagnose.

The VR tool visualizes possible causes of IBS to gastroenterologists as well as other physicians. The VR animation showcases food intolerances, gastrointestinal infections, and changed microbiomes in relation to IBS. Using a VR headset, viewers can go inside the body and listen to the latest research on this disease.
