Andrew Swift
Certified Medical Illustrator
Andrew earned his MS in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia in 1999 and was recognized as a Certified Medical Illustrator in 2002. As an Assistant Professor, Andrew has taught classes in illustration and animation to the Medical Illustration Graduate Program at the Medical College of Georgia since 2000. Andrew has been a Professional Member of the Association of Medical Illustrators since 2000, to which he has served as treasurer since 2005.
Andrew’s illustrations have won numerous awards including the “Ralph Sweet” Member’s Choice Award from the Association of Medical Illustrators, an award he has won three times. Andrew is a frequent contributor to Scientific American magazine and regular lecturer to the Association of Medical Illustrators on topics concerning digital illustration and anatomic visualization through the use of diagnostic imaging (such as CT and MRI).
