XVIVO Launched Two Animations at Ted Global: The Stuff of Life in Edinburgh, Scotland (Hide This)

ROCKY HILL, CT - (July 19, 2011) Internationally-acclaimed XVIVO Scientific Animation will be showcasing their animations at TED GLOBAL: THE STUFF OF LIFE. Bringing together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, TED GLOBAL is a "celebration of life in all of its forms" and asks each of their 50+ speakers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less. XVIVO is proud that 2 of their animations were showcased at this year's event, helping bring the secrets of biological processes to life.

Created by XVIVO, the 2 video projects featured at TED GLOBAL include:

* Featured speaker Jessica Green of the BioBe Center in Oregon partnered with XVIVO to develop a 1 minute animation to help people visualize microbial biodiversity in the built environment. Ms. Green's goal with this animation was to help people understand the important role microbes play in every facet of our lives, ranging from climate change to building ecosystems, human health to roller derby. With her experience as a professor at the University of Oregon, Jessica sought out XVIVO's design and medical expertise to use non-traditional tools - like art, animation and film - to help people visualize the invisible world.

* Proud to partner with featured software company autodesk, XVIVO utilized their proprietary software, expertise and tools as an integral part of the creative process for a 3 minute animation. The convergence of science and art is realized through the tools autodesk has made available to the world, and the knowledge and talent of XVIVO's animation and production teams created an excellent end product to showcase at TED GLOBAL.

XVIVO to Showcase Animations at Prestigious World Science Festival in New York City (Hide This)

June 02, 2011 -- Internationally-acclaimed XVIVO Scientific Animation was invited to create new animations for the 4th Annual World Science Festival in New York City Wednesday, June 1 – Saturday, June 5, 2011.

For this year’s event, XVIVO developed visual materials to welcome attendees to each of the six programs being featured: Cancer, Longevity, Memory, Sleep/Dreams, Smell, and Sexuality. For the Cancer program specifically, titled Cancer’s Last Stand? The Genome Solution, XVIVO’s animation will be part of the presentation and visually accompany discussions surrounding genome and cancer breakthroughs, with a special focus on breast cancer.

XVIVO’s Creative Director and Partner Michael Astrachan states, “We are honored to provide our animation to the World Science Festival.
