Interactive Media Production
Our process for development of interactive new media is based on our proven animation pipeline. Whether it is an interactive MOA with a gaming component, or a data rich interactive visual library, our process ensures your project will be developed on time and on budget.
Our interactive media production is composed of different stages that describe the stability of the program as we progress from pre-alpha to gold master.
Pre-Alpha
Pre-alpha refers to all activities performed prior to initial development of the program. This includes research, creative approach, and design to make certain the end user enjoys a fully immersive experience.
Alpha
Alpha stage refers to the alpha build of the program that is distributed to you and our internal software testers. The alpha stage can either show creative layout, programming flow or both. It is similar to the animatic stage of animation development where we can get a feel for the flow of the finished program.
Beta
“Beta” is a nickname for next stage of program development. At this stage we work with you and your partners to make sure the software is functional on your platform, whether it is to be used on the web, tablet PC or trade show. Once in beta phase, we typically put a feature freeze on the software. Only software issues, bugs, unimplemented features and interactive usability will be addressed.
Gold Master
The term gold master refers to the final product, ready to release. In this stage of product stabilization, all product features have been designed, coded and tested through one or more beta cycles with no known bugs. The final product is delivered to you and your partners in predetermined format. Typical formats are Flash, Shockwave, self installing executables, Shockwave 3D, Director, JAVA, and a host of other web applications.
“We have only positive feedback for you and your team. This experience has been great and trouble-free from the beginning. I would not hesitate to refer another company to XVIVO should they need help with scientific and medical illustration. Thanks for the great work.”
