Dengue, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Virus, PBS, Virual Fusion, XVIVO
Dengue was created for Irene Bosch, Ph.D. at University of Massachusetts and Yorgo Modis, Ph.D. from Yale University. This animation was an educational project for PBS TV which detailed the mechanism the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Virus uses to escape the capture vesicle that carries it into a human host cell, allowing it to infect that cell.
“Through their creative prowess and technical mastery, XVIVO is defining and redefining the very frontier of scientific animation. As science and medicine explore increasingly remote realms, their work provides a vital link allowing researchers and the general public to grasp visually an astonishing landscape of new possibilities.”
